I changed my mind, I don't want to see this fixed. Installing another bike rack on the block is a complete waste. The owner of 1535 clearly has no regard for public property and as far as I can tell the rest of the block doesn't care.
Installing a second bike rack was a nice gesture by the city but it doesn't address the real issue, and that is the building owner's refusal to use the proper channels to have such an installation removed.
