I have never had issues sleeping, even when I lived on Walnut Street between 20th and 21st Streets. Despite the heavily trafficked area, I was always able to sleep through the night, even with the windows open. Since moving to the 1600 block of Catharine Street I have developed severe sleep issues, which specialists have credited to the noise from the garbage disposal service that operates across the street from our house. I do love our home and like living in the neighborhood but I find it unacceptable that this company is permitted to continue this practice in a residential neighborhood, when the noise ordinances are clearly outlined for the city.
