No crap they fly down Boot Road. Plus the light changes very quick. There is no reaction time to stop once you see yellow. It's either slam the brakes or run the light.

This entire intersection is a travesty for Downingtown. Major backups are most times of the day anymore and I work hard to avoid this area when possible. Its not just those trying to turn left off of Quarry Rd, its the backup all the way to the Dodge dealership on Rt. 30 as well!

The real issue is the light at the Wawa. Ever since that light went in, traffic here has been horrific. If the Wawa light were timed more appropriately to handle the traffic flow west-bound on business 30, there would not be nearly as many issues. It would also help to keep the west-bound road two lanes until the light at the country club.

I work in the Wegman's shopping center so I am affected by this every day. More and more people are using the shopping center as a shortcut and a right turn onto 30 at Helzberg is nearly impossible at rush hour due to the poor timing of the lights. If you should use the entrance at BJ's to turn right with a traffic light you stand a chance of sitting for ten minutes or so before you reach the bypass.

The problem is the light at Wawa. It turns red while the east bound Bus 30 light at Quarry is still green. Thus the short block gets filled before, the light changes and allows the Quarry traffic to turn left, giving them no place to go.

I sit at this light in the morning with no traffic coming or going on rt 30. Change the light timing to change on demand if no traffic is coming. Gas is way to costly to waste it @ a traffic light!
