Great news that the signs are back soon! I'm interested to know if TT&P has any new signs they can add into the mix this spring as well. Back in April 2009, in addition to the 4 signs that were eventually installed in Westville (Blake & Stone, Edgewood & West Rock, Edgewood & McKinley, and Fountain & Emerson), I requested signs for the eligible intersections of Alden & Willard, Chapel & Alden, and Fountain & Barnett. Each of these three intersections require more specific, longer-term traffic-calming solutions, but in the short-term, the in-street pedestrian signs will go a long way to making students, parents with strollers, transit users, seniors, Chapel Haven residents - really anyone walking there - safer, and help to slow traffic down through our neighborhood. I'm happy to post each of these three requests separately if that is necessary. I would also like to request that the Edgewood Ave. signs not disappear over the summer for use, as was rumored, over at the Pilot Pen tournament. It's clear more signs overall are needed!

The in-road ped signs will be installed by the end of tomorrow.

Today is National Walking Day and TT&P made sure to get the signs out and they did and even added to the locations as compared to last year.
