saw very large coyote between n. sycamore and mill sts.very early hours of morning, it was not a fox or a dog.other residents saw also at different times.watch your pets.
spotted a cougar in the Briarcliffe section of Glenolden Thanksgiving week.Called the twp.who told me to call animal control, who said they'll make a note of it.Unless someone's attacked they don't seem to care
I saw 3 of them on the old Darby Swim Club property on Main St. This was 7 or 8 in the morning. The sun was up. I think they were coyotes, because they weren't red like foxes, and the tails weren't quite busy enough. They definitely weren't dogs.
Coyotes have been spotted outside of Chicago for quite some time now. They're migrating east and have adapted to the colder climates. They generally follow cross-country railroad tracks and hang out in wooded areas, like the one behind the Clifton K-Mart. Shoplifters, beware, when you're attempting your escape!
i saw a large coyote on the railroad tracks about two months ago at ashland and bonsall ave in glenolden .after living in the desert in arizona for 5yrs i do know the difference between coyote's and dogs lol
The Coyote situation is resolved. Last full moon I transformed and hunted down the Coyote. I had it with a side of fava beans {phlep phlep phlep} it was tasty. As for the cougar sightings? You can usually catch one or two at any local Delco bar on a given Friday night.
One was seen in Wayne PA as well. They are large Coyotes. Not like the ones out west, but a Coyote/Wolf/Dog hybrid that can get to about the size of a German Shepard. The good news is that will try to steer clear of people if they can. Bad news is that eat anything from rabbits, foxes, deer and anything else around in that size range if they are hungry and despreate enough.
has the reporter ever actually seen a coyote? they are not large. about the size of australian sheperds and resemble a dog with mange. you might have seen a stray.. oh and for the record, coyotes are not indigenous to anywhere in Pennsylvania that would afford them a means to end up in clifton unless caught in their habitat and released by people.
I help with animal rescue and I was told by someone at "Forgotten Cats" that the Pennsylvania had coyotes brought in to keep down the squirrel, cat, and fox population, which I think is horrendous.
Anyway, about 2 yrs ago, i opened the door about 3am..and a coyote was on my front step….and just looked at me with his big eyes. Just the door separated us…but he really looked kinda sweet and made no move to be aggressive. I don't hunk they bother people..I just wish they wouldn't knock off the smaller critters.
