Why can't the city connect 6th Ave W to 36th St (Marquis Rd) instead of directing all the 28th St West hill, hospital etc. traffic to 2nd Ave W. What the H is the hold up here, it's been this way for years?
Also, 10th ave (Vic Hospital) and 36th st (Marquis Rd) should be joined. Make it zoned for stores, shops, and business. These will benefit from traffic and not complain of noise. Houses shouldn't be on the main drives.
i totaly agree with both of these ideas....i believe it would help the traffic jams on 2nd ave...and what is up with those pilons on 10nth and 28th??...if its for safety, i dont think thats it!!...people are doing u-turns at both ends causing more danger??....there is a snow dump back there and trucks have to get there both from the east and from the north...but if you do come from the north you cant go back that way??.....maybe with these new ideas this would fix this??....but does the city realy have to spend a whole pile of money for a study on it??....
2 yrs ago it was budgeted at over $800,000 to make that goat trail into a road. It's in the budget for 2013. As more development occurs along that stretch, it may happen sooner.
I totally agree to continue Marquis road to connect to 10th Ave. (Soccer Center / Vic Hospital road). There is no reason why all of this traffic has to go through the residential area. For example right now 32nd St. is a disaster, at times two vehicles can't even meet with all the snow piled on the sides. Also Sask. Pen worker could use this road. Regardless of which City dignitary lives on this street we have to be thinking of the future.
