  Great job by you and your neighbors thanks so much. Our volunteers keep pulling piling trash and junk out of the vegetation on Caltrans property to be picked up. It unbelievable how much disgusting crap is generated by these illegal encampments.

  Please come get this before they come back and build another encampment. The trash the generated was too much in 6 months. It took 5 people 4 hours to clean.

  This is an extremely dangerous hazard for vehicles that pass on their route to southbound I-880 and will cause a serious accident due to overflowing debris on the roadway! Please come and get this quickly before some get hurt.

  This clean up effort require a huge time commitment and sacrifice by several members of the community. Please come and get this trash and debris right away. This homeless encampment was abandoned months ago and attracted others to illegally dump onto it. If the trash is not removed right away, it’s only going to continue to attract others to resume dumping in this area. We beg of you, please do not allow this to happen and come and get the trash right away.

  Taypayer update: the request was acknowledged but not processsed. I just called Oakland 311 per David C. (Thank you!) and they are processing this request now so that supervisor can receive it and schedule pickup.

  This is a particular hazard in the break-down lane at this location due to the high volume of semi-trucks from the Port of Oakland which frequent this stretch and often utilize this break-down lane. Would hate to have them run into it at night which could be avoided by a prompt pickup.

  Homeless are picking through this mess. They could get hurt by the simi trucks that drive by at 65mph.

  This is more than just an eyesore and public pile. The debris is attracting animals and other homeless to pick through and place it in the roadway. As many have stated it is becoming larger each day. New trashers are adding to the pile because they aren't getting caught for illegal dumping and it is hard to tell the new and old. Thank you to our wonderful volunteers for cleaning so all that is needed is pickup - what an effort - Please don't make their valuable time go for not.

  I just called the Oakland 311 and re-iterated the case. The agent said that because it's a former homeless encampment, proper procedures have to be followed through to handle this (there could be belongings, etc.). Not sure if the PWD has a plan for this.

  It’s full of garbage and stuff stolen from the construction site across the street.
  It’s supposed to be taken away today. There are no belonging there and who would claim them. The site was abandoned. So sick of the city’s bs excuses for not doing their job.

  I've called the 311 number twice and was never told this. They did know about the problem and told me it was acknowledged and processed and that it would be cleaned up in two days - that was last Monday 1/22. I would encourage people to call Robert Neeman (who is the supervisor in charge of this) at 510.434.5107. The two reference numbers are 788428 and 788250.

  Thank you to the neighbors who have been working hard to clean up illegally dumped garbage along Frontage road and other streets in our neighborhood. Thank you City of Oakland for coming to clean this up and to neighbors for making sure that this gets addressed with your phone calls and seeclickfix notes!
