Yes, and how about rewriting the sign to a more honest: "Please help us eradicate all of the birds and other wild life. Having destroyed most of their natural habitat, we're now attempting to starve them out of their final holdout against extinction. Please help with any empty plastic bags and old flashlight batteries you can find to throw into the river".
And why no mention on the sign of pigeons and gulls (or are they "other wildlife"). If you've ever been on the waterfront, you'll know that the appetite and aggressiveness of these species far outweighs those of the ducks and geese, not to mention eliminating the possibility that even the tiniest scrap should be left for rodent foragers.
Please take down these signs and use them to construct bird feeding tables.
