As of 7:10am today, there were three sets of individuals set up at the park. We tried reporting this to code enforcement as well via email, but received this response:

I've also have notice a child with a women sleeping at the park at times. There have been 3 homeless people living a in front of the daycare. I don't feel safe anymore waking through the park. Weeds by the water are so overgrown anyone can hide in it. My husband and Isaw a man sleeping under the bridge.

CSS has one part-time and three full-time employees who are responsible for addressing all quality of life concerns, supporting Neighborhood Watch groups, and working with the Neighborhood Law Program and Code Enforcement to address distressed and dangerous properties. Thank you for reporting this issue. The park is open to the public during the day. If you see people at the park in the evening ours after dusk please report to 911 so an Officer can address this.

This has not been taken care of. I took new pictures of all 3 sets of homeless encampment. They move around the park. They're by the child care or at the play ground or sleeping at the bleachers by the baseball field.

It's during the night when everyone is out there. They've even started little "camp fires" we understand the park is open during the day- but what it become when they are there all night as well?

If they are there in the evening hours they need to be reported to 911. An Officer will respond. The Community Service Section is only on duty Monday through Friday from 8:00-6:00. During these hours the parks are open to the public and these people have a legal right to be there. In the evening hours this issue needs to be reported to 911 so an Officer can respond and remove them. SeeClickFix is not the correct platform to report this. Only 911 is.

Emily i just received an email that this issue is closed yet they are still there. They are there during the day. I see the 3 sets of homeless encampment everyday I walk my dogs.

The Police can not remove them during the day as the park is open to the public. The park closes at dusk and reopens at dawn. If anyone is at the park during dusk to dawn please report to 911.

We just have to call the police at night. They have started sleeping over around the bleachers now. Thank you Tina for your assistance and suggestions.
