Beschreibung
We live in the condos right off Nolensville Rd, on Bienville Dr. Numerous times, while pulling out of our parking lot and onto Bienville, we have nearly gotten hit by cars that speed up and down Bienville. There are no stop signs on Bienville until you dead end into Sunnywood Dr (almost a quarter of a mile and all downhill). Many cars choose to avoid the school zone on Nolensville by speeding down Bienville and taking Sunnywood. I used to jog and bike ride on our street but I cannot anymore because I've almost been run over three times while crossing Bienville. It is terrifying to see people fly up and down our street and we really need a speed bump somewhere on Beinville. Please.

In response to your request for traffic calming activities:
Metro Public Works has developed the Metro Neighborhood Traffic Management Program. This program works with neighborhood groups through a step by step, progressive approach to addressing cut through speeding traffic, certain speeds, and volume thresholds. Speed humps are no longer used as a common method of traffic calming, and are no longer installed on a public streets. Traffic Management effects the entire neighborhood and because of this the neighborhood as a whole is required to participate. More information about this program, and an application can be downloaded from Nashville web page at www.nashville.gov/pw/mntmp/
Once you have downloaded the application, and have it signed by your Neighborhood Group Representative, please mail it to our office at the address listed on the application, ATT Benny Word. Once the application has been received we can start the evaluation process in the neighborhood, and meet with the residents to discuss which methods of traffic calming would be best for everyone living on the streets.
We can also schedule the radar trailer on Bienville Drive as soon as one becomes available.
Let me know if you have any further questions.

I am sorry, just saw this today. The meeting went well, Kathy Niznik will collect information regarding traffic issues around Lenox and submit an application for a traffic calming study to Public Works. Her e-mail is hoahotline@yahoo.com
Please make sure you let her know what the concerns are so they can be included on the study.
