I was almost hit there this morning coming out of Wheeler Hill by a man in a small truck . I was in a larger truck and had to slam on my brakes . I then proceeded down Maiden Lane behind this white truck , and he put his right turn signal on as if to turn down Brick Lane . But he paused and gave me the middle finger , so I waved and smiled at him . He then proceeded to jerk his wheel to towards me as I was passing him , and he hit my truck doing a small amount of damage . The driver then tried to flee but I caught him and pulled him over . The police were called and a very impartial state trooper pulled up and basically ignored the fact that he blew off the stop sign , and the fact that the driver jerked his truck DIRECTLY into mine ! The trooper then sighted ME for crossing a double line ; which people do on the left when a car is turning right (and there wasn't any oncoming traffic so it was clear) . The trooper and driver developed a bond or knew each other , so much so where the trooper kept telling me NOT to speak ; but let the other driver speak & yell freely . The office threatened to tow my truck because I couldn't produce the currently insurance card because my truck was messy , so I asked if I can have a minute to look for it and he barely let me do so . I THEN produced the insurance card so he didn't tow my truck (lucky me) . He then looked inside my truck and noticed a softball bag containing softball equipment and asked if I threatened the other driver with a bat ; and the other drivers was twice as old as me and half the size of me . That was a complete insult and the trooper was out of line frankly . The trooper also asked if I was drinking , and it was 5:30 am .....like in the morning , and I was on my way to work . Another troubling part was the trooper asked me on 4 different times via his loud speaker for me to come to HIS squad car , and to walk in traffic . Twice I walked across the road over the two lanes , and then he finally pulled behind the two trucks ; and called me to his car again twice . He only finally got OUT of his car to give me the ticket for crossing the double line . I have lived on Wheeler Hill for 16 or 17 years and I have never had #1 such a blatant reckless driver , who again RAMMED into me . And also a trooper who was NOT impartial one bit for whatever reason , and simply listened and sided with the driver that was closer to his age (and I'm 42) . Insulted for the entire ordeal and I will be making a complaint .

I have requested more enforcement at this intersection. However, we do not have the resources to conduct enforcement as often as might be necessary.
