  • 2101 Locust St Philadelphia, PA 19103, USA - Fitler Square

At NWC of S. 21st St. & Locust St. after every rainfall there is a large puddle (too deep to walk thru). It sweeps all the way around the corner, approximately 90degrees, and it is at least 10 feet wide. This sidewalk is HEAVILY used by 1) pedestrians 2) baby carriages/strollers and 3) wheelchairs and wheeled walkers.

PLEASE clean out drain thoroughly or, if there isn't one, dig down and create a catchbasin & tie-into existing stormdrain.

I will submit a foto if necessary, but this condition has existed for years, and is EXTREMELY dangerous when said puddle freezes every winter - 311 STREETS Dept MUST know of it already.

  • Walnut St. Bridge Over Schuylkill R. (23rd-29th St.) 19103 - Fitler Square
Many people walk across the river to Penn, to Drexel, to work, to 30th St. Station etc. A very high percentage of them use Walnut St. Bridge. In 32 years of living at this location I have NEVER seen snow removed from the public sidewalks, or from the two staircases which connect 24th St. to the bridge sidewalks. People have to walk in the street - HIGHLY dangerous since cars ZOOM westward having passed the last traffic light @ 23rd & Walnut, and for one-half the pedestrians those racing cars are coming from BEHIND! CITY: get this resolved NOW, before people get killed or hurt.
