    1618 Catharine St Philadelphia, PA 19146, USA - Schuylkill Southwest
    This is the only portion of sidewalk on the block that is not concrete. The bricks have shifted and many have been removed in the area where it meets the concrete sidewalk. Handicapped passerby's and strollers cannot pass on this side of the street. Bikers often fall and people trip when attempting to pass over the hole. This is extremely dangerous. Please fix ASAP.

    In the back patio of 1606 Catharine St, there are several Jack & the Beanstalk weeds that have been growing for decades and have now reached an incredible height and weed branching that is dangerous for an amateur like myself to cut down. The leaves that fall from this tree are humongous and cover all our back patios, killing all our flowers. The leaves, pollen and golf-ball-size-pods are making an undesireable mess. I've written this issue numerous times to PHA and SeeClickFix with no action taken. This property is still owned by PHA, who just evicted the tenants who were there for many years. Any ideas on more effective methods before I chop it down myself?

    There are two extremely overgrown trees on the property of 1607-1619 Catharine St that are encroaching the sidewalk, parking spaces and street. The overgrown limbs are forcing sidewalk traffic to walk into the street in order to pass. Handicapped traffic is unable to use this side of the street. The limbs are eliminating several parking spaces. The pollen is out of control and affecting nearby residents. Please trim the trees before someone gets hurt!

    There is a large abandoned building on my block, the old YWCA at 1607 Catharine St, which has been sitting unoccupied for over 2 years since there was a Stop Work Order posted against the property by L&I. The property has been on the market for the past few months and there have been many random people in & out of there scrapping all metal pipes, radiators, equipment, utilities, etc. These scrappers are probably kicking up a lot of the harmful materials in the building. Although the front door is locked, many of the windows have remained open and it is likely that whatever asbestos, mold, or lead-based paint is in that place is now contaminating our neighborhood.
    I reported a complaint to 3-1-1 and specified this was not a structural issue, but rather inside the building. The complaint was closed out and the inspector put 'building is structurally sound'. This is B.S. and I want to see the building owners at least close the windows. There are asbestos, mold and EPA hotlines but no one is willing to come out and inspect the property without access inside. Any suggestions from the public?
