    I visited WR Park the other day and was saddened to see it so neglected. Graffiti on the walls and rocks, stone walls crumbling, poor roads and just a general sense of neglect. I'm curious to know if others also see this? It is a wonderful park and has the best view of New Haven. It is also an historical landmark. It deserves better attention from the State and from us neighbors.

    I have reported this before and got no response so I am reposting.

    Driving north on Winthrop at Derby, the traffic light is not in sync with the one at northbound Winthrop at Chapel. The one at Chapel turns green but the Derby light stays red. Often, when the lights turn green together the one at Derby turns red faster than the one at Chapel.

    We complained several months ago that the lights did not remain green long enough for a car to make it through both intersections without speeding. Now they are all out of sync and present a hazard.

    No Parking signs are posted with a hand written change over the day. The rain has washed out the writing so you can't see what day not to park.

    Trash is piled up in front of the house that is part of 240 Winthrop Ave. (the old Atrium Plaza) and has been there for several weeks.

    Speeding is indeed a problem on this deadly strip however the speed posted on the radar sign shows 25 when it should be 35. If the speed is truly 25 then MUCH more enforcement is needed. However, the design of the street makes it almost impossible to maintain slow speeds. Traffic calming measures are needed.

    Drive through this area almost any evening and you will see prostitutes walking the street soliciting passersby.

    The prostitution has slowed but continues. They are less clustered in this one area and spread their activities to the neighboring streets.
