Description

There is a section of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Greenway (Parcel 02738394) that juts into our neighborhoods of Rolling Oaks and Clearbrook in Charlotte, NC.

It has never been maintained by the city/park and recreation department and is now heavily overgrown. It is a safety hazard to children who play in the area because rats and snakes live amongst the tall grass, poison ivy and poison oak. Furthermore, the creek that runs through this property is clogged with dead trees and debris.

Residents in the area have contacted the Park and Rec Department of Charlotte/Mecklenburg and get words, with no action. This needs to be taken care of before all the growth returns in the Spring.
