School Zone Signs
Along northbound Southern Pkwy, there are posted school zone signs for slower speed with no "end school zone" signs to resume speed. There is an "end school zone" sign at one point, but no posted sign to slow for school zone before reaching the end zone sign. Surely the school zone cannot be almost a half mile in length. These signs (or lack of) are between New Cut Road & I-264 all along Southern Pkwy.
Lately police have been stopping cars for speeding, but drivers don't know where school zones begin or end because of the current signs.

Thank you Metrocall 311 for addressing this issue. The people commenting on this are completely missing the point. The current signage on Southern Pkwy. makes it difficult to know where the school zones begin and end. Since the police are ticketing drivers, in all fairness, the signs should be correct.
So, driving that stretch at twenty-five miles an hour instead of thirty-five takes you what, fifteen seconds longer? Twenty?

Yes, children do walk a half mile to school. It takes a staggering 10 minutes for them to do so. So slow down and give em' a break, because they don't have a perfect grasp of traffic law yet. Remember, you are a licensed driver, trained and responsible for the 2-ton piece of metal that you send hurtling through space at high velocity. Your responsibility is to drive carefully and anticipate errors on the part of other road users, especially our most vulnerable.
