Subject: [EXTERNAL:CAUTION!]- Esplanade Park Noise worse than ever.. upsetting to neighbors
Noise at concert (really almost every event) events held at Esplanade Park is getting completely out of hand. Today, Broward Center is hosting "Rhythm on the River" with live 5 live bands. They have set up on the Esplanade Park pavilion with 12 foot high speaker stacks (see phono) you can hear the bass for 1/4 mile. Esplanade Park is a small park, you could hear a simple Fender Amp, it would be enough, this 12 ft stack reminds me of Who Concerts I went to in the 70s.. point is it's way too loud. I live at "The Symphony" Condo, next door to Broward Center on the river. Many of my neighbors have complained about the noise from Esplanade Park events. Ft Lauderdale needs to monitor the volume of these events, modern speaker technology (and the increase in bass sound in today's music) has given the musicians a way to create massive sound to the detriment of neighbors.
