Description
Hello, I know this is not Princeton's jurisdiction but this issue does greatly impact Princeton residents. With Quaker Rd. will be closed indefinitely, the Provinceline/Mercer Rd intersection has become very heavily used. Often, traffic gets very backed up on Mercer just north of Provinceline because so many people are now turning left there. I've seen many, many people run red lights rather than get stuck in a 3rd or 4th cycle of the light. Is there any way our officials could speak with the Lawrenceville (West Windsor?) jurisdiction about putting in a left turn signal at this intersection? Thank you!

According to the Lawrence Township Engineer, this intersection is planned to be upgraded with additional turning lanes. Lawrence Township is just in the initial phases of the project so it will likely be a couple years to construction. The Township received a federal CMAQ grant for this intersection and the intersection of Fackler Road and Princeton Pike for capacity and safety improvements.
Please reach out to Lawrence Township if you have further comments.
