A utility pole beside of the road has been broken for years and appears ready to come down on a car during a storm. I reported this to Duke Energy and The City of Charlotte over a year ago.

From the Google image I posted today you can see the date of this image is October 2012. To find the pole drive slowly south on Providence Road look at the 3-5 pole after Shoreham Drive. The pole is beside of another pole. It is only hanging on by the wires that support it. Someone came along weeks ago and spray painted the pole with white paint. I thought this meant they were finally going to correct the problem. The pole is still there. It is scary to sit by this pole when traffic backs up on a windy day.

If someone gets hurt or dies when this comes down I hope the person reviewing this issue will remember this was reported and notify the victims family. When I notified the City of Charlotte they were sending a police car to review the situation. That was over a year ago.
